Regency Plaza

Dallas, TX | Perkins + Will

When looking to make capital improvements to its prestigious Oak Lawn property, Regency Plaza looked to HRNCIR and design partners to create a welcoming space that would give a fresh start to a building that was formerly dark and insular. One focus in achieving that goal was providing a healthy environment - particularly important since this lobby is a transition space for those coming and going. The expansive daylight, high ceilings, ample open space, green wall, and private focus rooms allow for a moment of rejuvenation and mental cleanse - something completely new to the building with this renovation. The reclaimed timber desk, biophilic 'water' wall, and bird-like sculptural light fixtures in the elevator lobby further connect concepts of nature with modern design. Additional tenant amenities include a large, flexible conference room, hospitality bar and work lounge. Sara Barnes, the Regency Plaza Project Design Lead, said, “HRNCIR did a great job executing the vision for clean, crisp ceilings. What look to be simple, hard surfaces are actually acoustically absorptive finishes.”
